Home Sweet Home

Furnishing Hope in St. Louis – In order to effectively address homelessness in America and impact a long-term solution to this problem, people transitioning out of homelessness need help with stability. At Home Sweet Home, we believe part of that stability comes from establishing a first home stocked with the necessities for everyday life. Part of maintaining a home is usability and affordability. We can help make taking the first step to stable home life comfortable and accessible.

By-Law Vote

There is a motion to change Article IV of the St. Louis ERC By-Law from:

ARTICLE IV. BOARD OF DIRECTORS, Section 4.02 Number and Tenure,

The Board of Directors shall serve two-year terms

and shall serve until their successors are

elected at the Annual Meeting and assume office

To the following:

ARTICLE IV. BOARD OF DIRECTORS, Section 4.02 Number and Tenure,

The Board of Directors shall serve three-year terms

and shall serve until their successors are

elected at the Annual Meeting and assume office

Reasoning for motion:

There will be three departures from the Board of Directors this year,

with the remainder scheduled for next year.

By increasing the years of service to three, three current members of the board will serve one more year

and the remaining three will serve two more years.

This means there will always be three members of the board departing

and three new board members every year from here on out.
