October's Educational Breakfast Meeting Location: The Zodiac Room at Neiman Marcus in Frontenac Date: October 12, 2010 Time: 7:30am - 10:00am The St. Louis ERC invites you to breakfast with Barry Schapiro - “Business is Personal” Employees and customers come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds. While it may be “politically correct” to treat everyone the same, the fact is that everyone wants (and deserves) to be treated “special.” This presentation is designed to help business leaders and employees take their customer service and employee relations to a new level by addressing the personal needs that everyone brings to a business transaction, and to do it without impacting tightened budgets! All it takes is an understanding of what people need, and the skill to communicate with them in a way that meets those needs. Barry Schapiro is Practice Leader, Management and Team Development at the Center for Business, Industry and Labor of St. Louis Community College. His responsibilities include marketing, managing, and delivering a variety of leadership, management and team-oriented programs and activities for organizations in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. He is a certified DDI Facilitator, and is a Qualified Myers-Briggs Maven. His professional interests also include the preservation of human capital, generational diversity, career transition coaching, and the psychological dimensions of retirement planning.
